ADSL Crawford Exchange (Cape Town)

Anyone connected to this exchange 021 697 .... having problems?

I have for the past two weeks been struggling with my connection, its a real nightmare. After many calls Telkom says they have a problem with the whole area.
 
Now its working ok again, hope this is a permanent fix. I'm with Webafrica and I have tried Telkom Internet, and Afrihost so I really don't think its an ISP issue.
 
yip i live in crawford and experiencing very bad internet connection. It took 2 techies from telkom to admit they have a problem with the exchange

Are u on a 10mb? because i live less then 500m away from the exchange and every time i phone to bump my speeds they say i can't get a 10mb. Also what router do you have?
 
Seems like the problems haven't been sorted out yet, for a moment I thought everything was ok. They've been resetting my port quite a lot. According to Telkom they currently working on the exchange, its been moved up to 10Mbps, but the maximum I can get is 6Mbps they reckon. And all my problems started with the upgrade.
 
what router do u have ? remember last October we had the exact same problem with the exchange.

Do any of you use MTN 3G/HSDPA? For more than a month now, I've been dropped down to 3G, used to get HSDPA since I got the modem in January 2010.
