Hi Guys
I have been having some issues with one of our clients DNS Server, they called me on Tuesday to say that some websites are working and some not, which I found odd...I logged onto the server had a look at the events etc but found nothing..before I troubleshooted any further they notified me that all was up and running again.
As I was realllly busy I left it there.
Today they called again having the same issue, I once again logged onto the server, this time doing a tracert to the affected websites, the result was an immediate cannot resolve..
I checked all services were running, restarted the Dns server service..and all is up and running again...thing is what caused this...there is no event registered for any of this.
I then did some research and found that there is a hotfix that Microsoft released for the EXACT same issue...but the hotfix only applies to Server 2008 R2??
What would you guys suggest?
