Description:
Our client in Cape Town is in need of a Cloud Development Specialist to assist the sales teams to deliver a technical demonstration of services to potential customers, in order to gain new business. It’s the Cloud Deployment Specialist’s role to guide new and potential customers through migration and configuration of hosted solutions to facilitate a smooth migration.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Service integration with directory services (typically Active Directory) through LDAP queries and rules
Email migration between mail systems
Mobile device configuration, including Blackberry server installation and configuration.
Provide training to customers and potential customer
Provide technical support to customer administrators for all aspects relating to their migration to Grove services
Report to Service Deployment Manager on current go lives
Provide regular updates to account managers and customer on status of their orders
Identify ways to improve service delivery
Take the lead when deploying new services.
Demonstrate and deploy the following services (not limited to, these are the services our client currently support)
Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Documents, Sites, Video, Mobile)
Google Message Security
Google Message Discovery
Google Message Continuity
Webroot HTTP Filtering
ClearFormat Email Branding
Email ingestion and migration services
SecureAuth Multi Factor Authentication
Build and manage relationships with existing customers
Assist sales teams with technical questions from potential customers
Identify best solution to fit customer needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Able to self-manage workload / tasks.
Ability to stay up to date with technologies changing on a daily basis.
Comfortable to talk about technical services at boardroom level
Team player but also be able to work without supervision
Good sense of humor – role can be stressful at times!
Dynamic / able to learn new skills and technologies very quickly
Willing to travel as and when required
Willing to work overtime if required by the workload
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Senior Certificate
Formal Sales Training
Tertiary business qualification will be advantageous
SALARY
Negotiable
The person will also be required to write and pass the official “Google Apps Qualified Deployment Specialist” certification within 3 months of starting their employment.
