What do you guys think about this?????

A Walk-in Service Centre. I was there about 3 weeks ago to order my i-mate Jasjar.

Now when I phoned 808 to find out if my phone arrived yet the guy told me that he cannot help me I have to go to the Walk-in Service Centre to find out for myself, it is not possible to phone them.

Looks like those guys doesn't have phones there. What a pity.
Cellphone Service Centre without phones. I think this is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard.

This means I will have to get in my car. Drive on the N1 for about 20km. Get there, wait in a cue, get the answer I don't want, drive all the way back, waste 2hours of my day where I could've easily made a call. But then again, maybe the call will also take 2hours.

How do you know you won't get the answer you don't want?

their centres are the worst. Crap attitude. The managers are the most arrogant ones too. Once I was asking them for help and told them I was a student and when they heard that their attitudes change. They look at u like u r worthless..So i got pissed off and crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it back at him and showed him my middle finger...

Phoning SCs

The agents at 808 can put you through to the Service Centres. I think not all of them respond to training in this regard.

Once you reach the SC, it's another story getting an answer.

check the thread regarding the jasjar-i think i did post the sc no there -u basicallyu dial mtn hq in sandton - switchboard lady answers very fast and she puts u through but then u hold on for about 10 to 20 mins before the sc help u

Don't they know how ridiculous they make themselves look. A telecommunications service centre that won't/don't take phone calls!! I had exactly the same experience/thoughts some months ago when I was told (by MTN) not to bother phoning the only MTN service centre in the Western Cape. (The rest of the MTN shops aren't service centres, they can't do anything except sell phones and contracts)

For comparison Vodacom has three service centres in Somerset mall alone. And they take phone calls!!
