is your mobo p67 or z68 based? because if the sata 3 runs of marvel controller , the agilty 3 wont be that good.

though get the kingston anyway for the extra storage, will be a tad better for you.

Its an amd based board, am3 with a phenom 965 @ oc'd to 3.8

Will sata 3 make a difference when it comes to ssd?

Eish that read/write speed on the OCZ makes me drool :D

Anyhow, not sure about SATA II or III drives and mobo's compatibility (from what I read so far, they are, and should work in harmony. At what speeds.. I don't know), but if I should buy another SSD, I'd go for the fastest one :)

if you have amd 890 series board or better it will have a sata 3 port that will work fine, but ya storage is a better option of gamers, you don't need 500mbs just yet lol

Get the 96gb and if you can push to a 128 try for it. 60gb is basically windows 7 plus 2 or 3 games and the space is gone

I currently have an asus 5850 pkaying on a 24" monitor @ 1920x1080.

what would be a better upgrade?
say a new 6950 or an ssd?

SSD the 6950 is not that much faster than the 5850 or add in another 5850

I have the 128Gig Kingston in my laptop....the included kit makes the cloning and replacing new hard drive super easy..and it converts your existing drive into an external.. :)

Not a single complain.. just speed speed speed....

I'd say go for the 96GB Kingston, instead of the OCZ Agility 60GB / HD 6950.

Ordered the kingston drive:)

I just installed my 30GB OCZ Vertex on the one side of a 3.5" bay with 2 screws :)

Just on the one side? isnt gravity gonna weigh it down and mess the threads etc? u not supporting the other side at all?
other then that u think its safe to do that?
i dont mind doint that either as long as theres no damage:)

I highly doubt that it would get damaged. I've had mine for over a year now and it's still in the same horizontal position as I installed it.
The SSD's weighs less than a 2.5" HDD, so just securing it on 1 side should be good enough.

I should perhaps add that the Coolermaster RC310 case that I'm using doesn't have plastic HDD bays.

O ok i see now what u mean, the drive is facing upwards.
The bays are not plastic but more of a metal or aluminium material ..
Thanks for the tip, i'll give it a go.
