I think our networks are taking us for ride if i think back that people used to pay over R1000
for 3g transmitter... a single component of cell c that can't even make calls, does not even have
an operating system, let alone a speaker.

To only find that the accompanying software does not let you connect with other sim cards
you buying a piece of hardware that, you don't even have freedom to choose which network
you want to use unless you hack it..

Then what was the point of selling me an over priced hardware that limits me ?
<lets not forget that part about screwing me over with your data rates...>
<South African companies and their policy of taking customer for ride>

You could always just download the generic dashboard software from the manufacturer. Hell, I bought a Sierra Wireless data card that was locked to the AT&T network. A quick Skype call to AT&T support and download of the generic software, the card was unlocked and connected to the 8.ta network.

Nothing wrong with using an alternative dashboard such as the kgeneric ones supplied by the dongle manufacturers or GINNGS's MDMA works very well for me ...

It's only the Vodafone dashboard that creates a problem!

Cell C, 8.ta and MTN dashboards all work fine...

Anyone in their right mind keeps well clear of using Vodafone software!

MDMA has been in use here since my first Huawei E220...
