Location: Cape Town
Description:
Free Lives, based in Cape Town, needs to hire a programmer.
Free Lives develops original titles in Unity. Our games are kind of violent, quirky and, hopefully, intelligent. We cater to gamers who may be casual by demographic, but who are still curious at heart. And we only make games that we ourselves enjoy and care about.
Recently Free Lives finished Pocket RPG, an original title for the iPhone/iPad that was developed with Tasty Poison Games. Pocket RPG turned a decent profit and we’re excited about the prospects of making bigger and more interesting games.
But we need help.
We’d like to hire full time programmers, and we’d like to pay them decently (at a market competitive salary).
If you can demonstrate an ability to program as well as a passion for making games then please consider the position. We work in Unity, so any experience with that would be beneficial.
The game we are currently working on is titled “Slice Fight!” We developed a small prototype of the game back in January (over a weekend for a competition), we had a good response for the game and now we are working towards releasing it for IOS. http://www.blackshipsfillthesky.com/SliceFight/SliceFight!!(Windows).zip
(The final game is going to be a lot more polished, with a lot of additional features, the prototype is just a proof of concept)
All the best!
