(Vodacom & the iPad) Where would I find my number?

Hey I bought a prepaid data sim from Vodacom today. I was told I'd receive a number when this thing activated?
Where exactly would that message go on an iPad 3G? How long does it normally take? Sorry I'm a newbie to using this stuff.
 
The iPad does not receive messages. It's purely a data product. So in order to get your number, you'd have to put the sim into a phone and wait for the SMS or send a 'please call me' to someone to get the number.

You'll have to buy a sim converter tool so that you can put your micro sim into a normal phone. Cheers!
