Slow torrents?

Is anyone else finding that torrents are much slower this month? Ive got a 384k line with a 3gb Telkom account. At most im getting 20k download speed, down from the 40-50k from last month.

Related to this, what port do most of you guys use for torrents?
 
I love Telkom's power games.

That speed is not bad at all, I am getting 5k ... like MrBEEP said ... Telkom's power game.

Sad.
 
Angellus, HellTel, which ISPs are you guys with? Also, what torrent program do you use, and if possible on what port?
 
Drunken - I use:

ABC - Yet Another Bit Torrent - for torrent downloads.

isohunt.com or mininova.org - to find torrents.

Works like a dream!
 
Quick test here (midrand ,openweb, 512) gives 11k after about a minute or two, well seeded torrent, Bitcomet.

Not great speeds, but I'm also running a FTP transfers at the mo..

Was blindingly fast mid last month, but I did noticed monday it was s-l-o-w..

Hi Drunken,

I am on TelkomInternet and did not have a port specified for Azureus, do the ports really make a difference on down speeds?

I'm bumping an old post instead of creating a new one so bear with me.
Anyone else getting major speed drops of late from kickasst,iso and TPB.What can I do to get better speeds or are there better trackers with decent speeds.
Shot.
