Kevin Pietersen will return to England's one-day set-up in India next month and, along with the more eye-catching inclusion of his Surrey clubmate Stuart Meaker, it means that of England's 15-man squad five were born in South Africa.

Never heard of him.
Born and bred then defeccted or raised in the UK?

Jonathan Trott still remains our biggest loss.

Then he doesn't even count

Lol. Well he left 10 years ago so he must be 100% Pom by now. They say he has the same funny accent Petersen has, a cross between a Durbanite and a Pom.

SA is to cricket what New Zealand is to rugby what Brazil is to football (in terms of nationality swapping).

The title to this thread should be: Another English/South African cricketer to play for England.

All these South African born players are the offspring of British/English expats from the old colonial days thats why they can get ancestral passports, maybe except for Andrew Strauss, Strauss sounds Afrikaans to me, unless his mum was English.

Take Australia/Convicts and New Zealand aswell, ex colonies with alot of English expat folk.
