Junior SAS Analyst

Main Purpose:
To add insight into company client business through analysis of customer data, delivery of analysis projects to specified brief, and working under the direction of a more senior analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with client teams to provide insight to help enhance a clients business and solve their business problems through the analysis of customer data, using data-mining techniques and statistical modelling, under the guidance of a more senior analyst.
- Deliver a variety of analysis based projects, as briefed, to a high quality and within a timely manner, communicating progress to other company team members.
- Has an understanding of the client’s business objectives and ensures that analysis produced is relevant.
- Interprets data and uses creative problem solving and logical thinking to assist client teams in the production of client relevant business recommendations.
- Attends client meetings and contributes at these as appropriate.
- Learns and implements the company customer analytical methods under the guidance of a more senior analyst.
- Help produce reports and presentations which are succinct, meaningful and actionable.
- Work as part of the company team, communicating effectively with other internal teams to integrate customer insight into technological and marketing strategies.
- Work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team.
- Responsible for adhering to company Quality Assurance processes, ensuring that all work produced is checked thoroughly by a relevant member of the team.
- Basic ability to use SAS and Microsoft Office packages under the guidance of a more senior analyst, and a commitment to the development of these skills.
- To represent the company in a professional manner at all times and take pride in yourself, the company and the work produced.
- Degree with significant statistical content
- Must have previous experience with SAS analytics
- At least 1 year relevant experience
- A genuine interest in the applications of analysis for business benefit
- An understanding of direct marketing applications and execution
- Excellent communications skills
- Experience of working with large customer databases
- Ability to work as part of a small, highly motivated team
