What would you want as a Prize ?

Right guys the site should be up soon. Im going to run a comp for the 1st 20 Buyers to purchase something off the site to the value of R500 or more. What I wanted to know is, what would you guys like as a prize ?

More details about the site can be found on myadsl on Tuesday.


Edit: 1st 20 buyers will stand a chance to win this Prize

On a more realistic note how about these items as prizes.

Zalman CNPS9500 LED CPU Cooler
Fatal1ty FS-C77 CPU Cooler
Fatal1ty FS-V7 GPU Cooler

Dont know if this is above your budget but what about an Antec P180 Case?
 
Not sure about Debit cards, but you have the option of paying with a Credit card, EFT or direct Deposit.

For a Debit card don’t you need to sign for the purchase ? Surely you could EFT ?

Credit Card Purchases are charged at 5% Extra because of Setcoms charges but EFT and Direct or cash deposits are not charged extra. The only advantage of CC payments is you can pay it off per month.

Ps: Here is what i thought might be a good Prize. 500GB HDD | 4800+ Dual Core | 7800GTX | P150 Antec Case | Razer Mouse, Pad and DVD-RW

WOW I thought I was aiming a little high with my first post!! :eek:

I think the 500GB 16MB Buffer Seagate(MUST BE SEAGATE) or a Gainward 7800GTX 512 would be some awesome prizes. The 4800+ is also great but Socket m2 is around the corner so I would try to give prizes people can keep for quite a while. :D
 
I think the Hdd is a good idea, every one can use it then. And it should last them more time.
 
nah, the HDD is better. Alot of buyers will already have a gaming mouse so a second will be useless, whereas anyone can use a HDD... unless they're running a 386SX or something.

Oh no, i dont make that much to be able to give all those as a prize:D | Each| Would be an option as a prize.

I agree with the HDD as a prize. So It will be a 500GB Seagate HDD then.:eek:

I saw you r saying a price for the first 20 buyers. so are you giving away 20 HDD, I dont think that is a good idea.

I think a good option will be a free voucher, rather than a prize. that way every1 can buy what they want. even a R500 voucher would make me jump.

PS: I hate hat extra 5% , rather include it in your markup. otherwise give it as a discount for cash buyers.

The 1st 20 Buyers will stand a chance to win the HDD, I'll get someone to pick an invoice number. (To make it fair im going to randomly number them 1 -20 and then call a Random number and ask them to pick an number between 1-20. Or i'll do it on the forum. Not sure yet.

As for the 5% extra it's only for CC payments. Its not added on the site only on the credit card purchase form. Because most buyers will pay using EFT there is no reason to add the 5% on 1st. The only reason im charging the 5% extra is because of the charges involved in that service. (with the CC you have the option of Budget payments - paying the products off per month.) Otherwise you pay the price you see.

Aaagh same as lottery crap, a 500Gig cost like R3000 ? why not the first 10 customers get R300 voucher?= R3000 , I will assure you ,you WILL get your first (R500 * 10 = R5000) minimum in 1 hour from site opening.
1 in 20 chance for a 500gb HD. I don't think too many ppl would want to play that lotto.

Odd's are just a little better than the Lottery... I dunno, I mean if I had cash to burn and I needed something. I'd give it a shot... better chances than any other competition I've ever entered.

Well you buy the thing you've been needing\wanting and as a + you get a HDD. Why not ? Its not costing you anymore than if you were to buy the product somewhere else... in fact its costing you less because i offer better prices.:D
 
Person, why don't you just let the prizewinner to choose his prize from the list you've given here rather than choosing the prize for them.

Brilliant prizes though :p
