Duh! Shouldn't prices DROP! its' not April fools yet!

Logic is breaking down... what am I looking at here, they are doubling the prices of their packages?

After a year they're doubling the prices. The new prices do look like a joke. Almost expect them to have another press release saying that they're just pulling our legs.

this is a big step backwards for everybody! imagine everyone goes back to their non promotion pricing. then we will be screwed

Pathetic. They are moving backwards, can't say I am surprised...Ever since their CEO was fired I knew it was only a matter of time before the board of scammers(directors) would revert all the positive changes they made.

If the 8ta deal is still available when my prepaid 2GB sim ends in February, I will not be thinks twice. If Cell C's new prices remain, I'm seriously doubting whether I'll be a customer again any time soon.

And there ends CellC's broadband revolution.
Lars seems to have been the only one who had some sense over there.

+1 - Lars had an idea of what was reasonable in this day and age - he understood what guys like us expect/want from our SPs especially in the context of international data pricing. But unfortunately its seems like they're going from being among the best to being ridiculous in one fell swoop! Sadly in this game loyalty ain't exactly guaranteed and I expect a mass exodus from Cell C to 8ta. I know I will be looking at it.

+2

Few people are going to pay upfront for this.

8ta must be laughing secretly when looking at these prices.

Not really...what most of the moaners and haters, with little or no knowledge of the inner workings of these companies is that the promotional prices, just aren't sustanable. I'm sure, 8ta is running at cost, if not a loss for that 10gb promo. They can prob do a 10gb, compared to most, since the own most of the country's back bone.

Bring Lars back

Its looking more and more likely that they sold those packages at a loss, but I am not sure where to even start with costing bandwidth at the moment.

Lars probably found and built a good customer base, but its come at a financial cost to the company.
