Hi

I'm looking for the above card to pair with the one I have at the moment for SLI. If anyone knows of someone selling one of these cards, please send me a message or reply to this post.

Thanks

Arc

You'll probably be better off selling your GTX 275 Twin Frozr and buying a single GTX 570.

The SLI scaling wasn't that great with the Nvidia GTX 2xx series cards, compared to the GTX 4xx/5xx series cards.

Hmmm... you have a point. Sadly the GTX 570 is a little out of my limited budget at the moment so I thought I would try the SLI option and see how that pans out.

See if you can't get hold of a 2nd-hand GTX275, like at Carbonite.co.za.
Someone recently (mid of Sept) sold theirs for like R900.

Btw, what is your system specs?

It won't help much if you go for a SLI setup if
a) your CPU can't even handle a single GTX275
b) your PSU isn't strong enough,
c) your motherboard doesn't have at least 2x PCI-E 16x that can operate at 8x+8x or 16x+16x

Thanks for the advice, didn't even know about Carbonite.

Systems specs are:
CPU - i7 920 (OC to 3.6ghz)
Graphics - MSI 275 GTX Twin Frozr
Board - ASUS P6T Deluxe V2
PSU - Cooler Master eXtreme Power 600W
CPU Cooling - Corsair Hydro H50
RAM - 6GB OCZ Gold DDR3
Drives - Intel 120GB SSD, WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD

Again, thanks very much for your help Pada!

Nice rig (except for your PSU) - pretty much the same as mine.

You'll most definitely have to upgrade your PSU if you're going for a SLI setup, because your PSU is terrible to say the least.
It doesn't even have enough connectors for 2 cards either.
Here's a review on that PSU: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/arti...e-Power-Plus-600-W-Power-Supply-Review/1034/7

Other than the PSU, you'll have no issues running a SLI setup.

Here's my rig:
CPU - Intel Core i7 940 @ 3.8GHz with ThermalRight Ultra 120 Extreme cooler
Graphics - 2x MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB OC in SLI
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe v2
Soundcard: Asus Xonar Essence STX
RAM: 3x 2GB Corsair Dominator 1600MHz C8 1.65V @ 1333MHz
PSU: Corsair AX850
Storage: 120GB G.Skill Phoenix SSD & 1.5TB Seagate green drive

Thanks again for the advice on the PSU - after reading that report I am a little less keen on slapping another card on top of it. Looks like I'll have to save up a bit more for a new PSU as well then.

You'll be fine with that PSU if you replace your GTX 275 with a GTX 570, but just don't try a dual high-end GPU/graphics card setup with it.
