want to play mame on my laptop

good day i`m not gamer but likes to play games from time to time. so i play MAME arcade games because it doesn`t need that much power and good graphics card. so i play on my desktop wich is average standard amd cpu win7 onboard graphic card. no problem there. so i install it on my hp 620 laptop wich also is about average hardware. it install fine but when i want to load a game it crashes. could it be that my graphic card is too weak to render the game? beacuse i download a different version fo MAME and it`s doing excatly the same thing. can anyone help.
 
Hiya, Maybe your ROMs are corrupt? You could also try and run mame in compatibility mode and see if that helps...try winxp or any other options it gives you.
 
i don`t think it is corrupted because it`s the same roms that i use for my destop. i`ll try winxp( i forgot about it).
