Hetzner down?

Fresh from another post where I praised Hetzner for their fantastic servers I now can't get mail from my own domain.

Is there trouble with that line to Cape Town again? Or is it the first bit of downtime from an otherwise excellent provider?

For me the net is behaving strangely at the moment (have two active dsl accounts and tried connecting from both - but doubt that this makes much difference in any case).
 
Well, MyADSL is hosted with Hetzner in Durbanville, and Hellkom is hosted with Hetzner in Germany - and both these sites are fine..

Myadsl hosted with Hetzner in Capetown Westerford building :p
 
Hezner servers I am on are fine. Hows your internet connection?
 
I also had the problem today with my Hetzner-hosted Web Site. I am using SAIX and they apparantly had some problems today with their DNS Servers. As soon as I changed my DNS settings I was able to resolve the domains and access my mail. Just FYI the DNS IP addresses I am using are 196.43.1.14 and 196.43.1.11, both located in Rosebank.
 
I am pleased to admit that the problem has definitely been on my side. It would appear that the DNS servers I've been using have not been resolving correctly.

Got a call from a friendly Heidi from Hetzner at about 8:45pm. No problems on the servers she said, before offering telephone support to resolve the problem on my own machine.

What a pleasure dealing with these guys.

Dead right. Exactly the same problem here. The SAIX DNS servers I've been using have gone mad.
