“You’re headed for a one-term presidency,” he told Obama at the start of their meeting, insisting that the administration needed to be more business-friendly. As an example, Jobs described the ease with which companies can build factories in China compared to the United States, where “regulations and unnecessary costs” make it difficult for them. Jobs also criticized America’s education system, saying it was “crippled by union work rules,” noted Isaacson. “Until the teachers’ unions were broken, there was almost no hope for education reform.” Jobs proposed allowing principals to hire and fire teachers based on merit, that schools stay open until 6 p.m. and that they be open 11 months a year.

Thanks Steve and they also have things called sweat shops where kids work for next too nothing making iphones and ipads. The only thing stopping the workers in US been turned into the same, is the unions.

yeah, lets rather take their job away as well :P By your logic it is more gracious to have someone unemployed than have him employed :P
 
Henry Ford and H.J Heinz were against unions too and their workers had the best pay at the time.

a union is nothing more than a labour monopoly. I have no problem with workers associating themselves and forming a union what I do have a problem is if government enforces legislation for unions.

Yeah, but at least the others are actually saying the right things, the Dems on the other hand are doing and saying all the wrong things. There is just no hope with them, at least for now. The american people need to put the republicans in power again and hold them to their promises. This isn't about politics anymore, its about the continued success of america - it's crunch time. How can the Dems be a good idea when they aren't even saying the right things?

The current Dems are like the protesters, great at targeting broad issues but not overly pragmatic.

The protesters are right though about corporate/government corruption, and thats without factoring in the unions who have the Dems in their back pocket.
