IT SECURITY OFFICER/ CORPORATE GOVERNANCE ROLE:
Our client, a leading Supply chain Company is seeking a dynamic IT Security and Governance Officer with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience. A relevant degree, diploma or Information Security certification would be advantageous.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Join an integrated global team dedicated to mitigating risks through the efficient and effective application of information security expertise, to prevent significant reputational, financial or other loss.
Responsibilities:
The governance role – will establish risk control framework, produce control statements, do system checks and assess where they are against these checks. It is a vital role to ensure that the company meets the risk assessors’ and auditors’ requirements. There is lots of interaction with group functions and teams. Candidate must have strong presentation skills in Excel and Powerpoint and verbal, and should be reasonably technical.

Responsibilities:
- Participation in the development, provisioning and successful execution of a technology risk governance programme for the company:
- Under the strategic guidance of the BISO, drive a technology governance framework to include assessment, measurement and reporting.
- Interact with compliance, operational risk and audit to understand corporate requirements related to risk governance, and map those requirements to current capabilities.
- Maintain excellent relationships with Technology teams, including Service Delivery, GTI and business facing application teams.
- Maintain excellent relationships with GIS, especially the Risk Assessment teams, to ensure consistency of approach and effective use of GIS shared services with regard to risk assessment.
- Maintain relevant metrics to facilitate reporting and decision making.
- Ensure compliance with existing laws and regulations.
- Recommend process improvements and ensure compliance and adherence to the policy.
- Create efficiency across the risk reporting requirements to Risk and other areas to ensure consistent and effective reporting.
- University graduation with a degree in Business, IT or a related subject; and / or
- Information Security and /or Information Technology industry certification (CISSP, CISM, CISSP-ISSMP or GIAC equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Process management
- ITIL processes including change, incident and problem management
- Experience in a technology continuity role [disaster recovery]
- Experience in an information technology or information security role
- Experience in developing strategy and frameworks
- Experience in business analysis and business case management
- Experience working in a multi-vendor and outsourced I T environment (preferred).
