Good, old-fashioned Wi-Fi comes into its own

Well, just look at what the WUGs are doing to see what is possible...

But different ways of sharing content needs to be accepted and rolled out. But PLEASE don't allow the encumbent providers / ISPs to roll out a commercial service using license exempt frequencies. They will either just bring alot of noise to the system (they make much more money from your SMS than from your email/data) or use their influence (and money) to kill smaller providers or worse buy up al the good highsites...
 
We, Air-Net.co.za are just waiting for our License from ICASA and will be broadcasting on the ISM bands. We would rather be on another band, 2.3-2.4 or 5.1-5.4 or better in the new space coming available when digital tv is done. All it would take is for ICASA to shift our license to those bands, but right now the ISM bands is all there is.
