A well-established Chartered Accountant is in need of a professional, experienced, and presentable
individual for a JUNIOR AUDIT MANAGER position. This position forms a critical part of management and therefor only candidates who
qualify, based upon the job specification, qualifications and experience need to apply.
This exciting opportunity for a junior management
level and requires an applicant of absolute integrity with excellent communication and leadership skills, who will ensure the independence, impartiality and professional stature of the office.
PURPOSE:
The person will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients and ensure that the quality of the services rendered is
effectively and efficiently managed within the allocated resources, as well as manage equal distribution of work, provide support where
needed, manage standard of performance, manage effective functioning of teams and identify training needs.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
· Audit – Prepare, plan, conduct, manage and finalise audits. To ensure that the audit reports are completed on time as prescribed.
· Financial Statements – Prepare proposals and draft annual financial statements
· Taxations – Calculate and submit provisional and annual tax returns. Correspond with SARS on behalf of clients.
· Client Portfolio- Deliver excellent customer service by continuously developing and obtaining knowledge of the company’s services
to the satisfaction of clients and thus improving the organisation’s image and position in the market. Manage own client database,
liaise and consult with clients.
· Team management – Manage equal distribution of work, provide support where needed, manage standard of performance,
manage effective functioning of teams, identify training needs. Lead audit team and provide knowledge and expertise to other audit
teams. Review team’s work including audit working papers and annual financial statements. Build and maintain good relationships
across the team. Prepare TSR (technical skills review) and PSR (professional skills review) for the team’s SAICA trainee contracts.
· Administration – Manage own work in process. Prepare detailed timesheets and issue invoice instructions.
· Productivity management – Complete and manage timesheets, handle overtime administration, ensure that staff achieves
productivity targets.
· Reporting – Weekly and monthly reporting to managers and directors

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Excellent technical knowledge of Audit Standards, Companies Act, VAT Act, Tax Act and IFRS.
· B.Acc / B.Compt Accounting
· Completed articles
· Pastel / Caseware / MS Office
· Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of, and skills in, auditing and accounting.
