It's impossible to use 500gig a month on 384k. Also sometimes the A/V will scan traffic, then it will look like your downloading really fast for a short time, but then it will drop again. He does abt 500gb per month. And yes a double cheaked his line speed on speedtest. On normal downloads he gets 30 - 40kbps bt on Torrents his flying
My friend has a 384kbps and downloads Torrents 24 x 7 and he put a proxy or sumtng on his utorrent and he gets 200kbps to 250kbps! How is this possible he do not want to tell me.

he's gettn 234.4kbps as we speak. He did abt 16gb ytday
Okay,
- kbps and KB/s are not the same unit of measurement. The one is bits, and the other is Bytes (each Byte is 8 bits)
- thus in terms of KB/s, the theoretical max you could get on any ADSL line syncing at 384kbps downstream, is 48 kiloBytes per Second, but even that is an ideal which won't be reached because of overhead traffic
So, if you have a 384kbps line and a given download is transferring at "200" something, you can rest assured that the "something" is not KB/s (that it's not 200KB/s). In your case, it's probably 200kbps which is about 25KB/s
Kapish ?
234.4kbps is 23 / 24KB/s
Two explanations here, his still lying to you with usage (have you seen the stats?) and 2ndly his line is not 384kbps line.
Whose the iSP?
Then he's not on 384kbps (or at least his modem is not syncing at that rate).ment to say 200KB/s
Could you tell us what trick he used?
no rocket science in using a ssh proxy.lol okay, bt he told me the trick.
