Absa comes to ADSL party

South African banking group Absa, which caused a stir when it became an Internet service provider (ISP) five years ago, has joined the ADSL fray, offering a 3GB package in a bid to extend its Internet products and services to users.

At R250 per month for non-ABSA clients, what would be the benefit of going through ABSA. Hell, telkom is charging R249 and they do soft capping. ABSA - rather stick to banking (and even that you guys suck at!!)

A note for ABSA: This country needs 2 things to happen...the ADSL line rental needs to be scrapped and banking charges need to be abolished (as is done in the UK). So if you really want to make a difference, here's you chance. (I wont however be holding my breath on this one though!!)
