Hi All

With Halloween being on Monday 31st October 2011, We giving you some nice treats at really good pricing for One Hour only on Monday from 1-2 PM.

We unfortunately not any doing Hard Disk Drives on these specials but what we will is do some In store specials on them for that Hour, so ask a sales person or Xpress Cashier on the HDD promotion we will do during that Hour.

Any chance of us having an SSD on special also?
 
Good thing the 2500k with a good motherboard isn't on special, or I'd be screwed. Ditto with decent SSDs at affordable prices.

We currently waiting for new stocks on SSD drives to come in later this week as we have almost no stock , sold most of the stocks out last week , only have one or two in branches
 
Ah ok, will we see an increase or decrease in SSD prices?

I can't sell a laptop these days without an SSD and the Kingston SSDs seem to play well with laptops.

Normal users but the Kingston SSD V100+ is a hell of an improvement over a mechanical drive. It doesn't really perform too bad in the Anandtech benchmark either.

We put one into a low end laptop and it outperformed the quad core "enterprise" (aka overpriced Dell laptops) we use in the office area that still use mechanical 7200RPM drives. Drove my point home that we are IO bound in Rational Application Developer and not CPU bound.

What else would you recommend 90GB+?

Agreed, it's definitely an improvement. Was just wondering to what extent normal end users were jumping on the SSD bandwagon. Not good for my business.

I got my dad one. That is how bad it is. His laptop was too slow for him and he doesn't even know how to properly use a browser.

After that it was just an explosion of people wanting SSDs for their laptops rather than mechanical drives.

In our office area they are thinking of upgrading everyone to Vertex 3's but the cost of the 240GB model is a bit steep at the moment (even if we make a deal with OCZ directly).
