In an interview yesterday, Mr Nzimande said some in the ANC and its allied formations were solely concentrating on the succession debate, distracting the government and the alliance from its work.
He said perpetual succession was a "terrible phenomenon" that needed to be dealt with.
Some people never took a rest between elective meetings and worked to replace leaders using dirty tricks and money. "It is blood money, often gotten corruptly. They go around buying delegates … we have to kill that phenomenon.
