legality of Skype over mtn3g

Is it illegal to use skype or any voip application over mtn3g services, using a 3g terminal, such has a handset connecting through your laptop ?

I did read on the forum that it is illegal on mtn, but is legal on vodacom, if so mtn sux.:confused:

This has been discussed before. Just like Vodacom, MTN is not filtering VOIP on 3G or 2G, but reserves the right to charge in future.
 
VoIP is not illegal in SA, which means that it's not illegal no matter what medium you use. If you mean illegal as in charge you if you use it then yes they can and probably will do that sometime in the future as it would eat into their revenue.

Just dump them then and get an internet connection..
