South African sites hosted overseas

In light of IS's recently attempts to show us a world without international connections, has anyone done a study of which 'proudly South African' sites are actually hosted overseas?

Example.
MyADSL loads happy days when international is down..
www.anc.co.za does not (assuming that is the ANC's site, which it most likely isn't)

Get the drift?

Possibly this info could be used to strengthen the cause against telkom (DA says website too costly to host locally due to Telkom etc...)
 
Well, my proudly south african site, when I finally get around to finish it, will be hosted overseas.
 
In my personal opinion, the price and feature benefit of hosting a site overseas, far outweighs the extra second or so needed to load a site.

Unless you are running a game/irc server you should be ok, hosting anywhere.
