Hey fellas

I'm quite new to all of this, but over the last few months I've been learning PHP, Javascript, SQL, CSS and I've also learned a bit about using xampp. I've managed to make a few "toy" websites, really just to learn about the process, and about design. I've also used port-forwarding to show some stuff to friends. Recently though, I've started getting into Drupal, simply because it's just so much easier. I've also registered a domain name from cozareg.co.za (http://katharsis.co.za/ - as you can see, there's not much there). This came with a bit of free hosting, but no database support (which I need for Drupal). My question is, how do I go about purchasing some web hosting? There is a plethora of different options, and to be honest, I'm not sure what I want/need. This is just something small - a blog for me and a few friends - but all I can safely say is that I need php/mysql support, since I'm going to be using Drupal. I'm not sure what versions of php, or anything I need, or even how to go about this process. I feel like I'm stuck at this point and if I can just get past this, I can carry on with this project.

I would really appreciate any advice.
Thanks :)
