Telkom shares going for a bargain R29

I'll wait and get the whole company for R1, like that guy did with OK back in the day.

I would wait until mid-2012 when the recession bites a bit more. I can see the price dropping some. As for taking it over, that is frying pan to the fire

I'd wait until after the LLU findings are released. We'd be in a better position to know what lies ahead then.

Don't get so excited about the inevitable downfall of Telkom.

Who do you think is going to bail them out when they go bust? Yes, your government using taxpayer's money.

We all will end up footing the bill. Once that happens expect zero competition against the gov's new piece of property.

That's why we should get in before we pay for a bailout - at least then we'll get returns on our money.

If there was anyone able to fill the gap they would go down in flames in the next couple of years, but there is no other company that can step up atm.

I think that's lower than when they listed? Can't remember but I purchased and then sold at over R100 so it was a good run back in the day.

Telkom are still a heavily undervalued stock. They were at R60 and even more so now. They are a serious long term buy and hold.

Telkom have quality earnings potential making their earnings multiple a major factor when forming your investment decision. HEPS will be on the up in a big way in the coming quarter as long as all Nigerian business unit losses have been properly accounted for this year. Their PE ratio will improve significantly and Telkom will find itself back within the radar formulas of the large buy-side firms, which will spark a rally.

Telkom just need some proper direction and a strategy focussing on their core fixed line business as opposed to the ancillary businesses that they've tried to base earnings on for the past few years. Investors want to know where and how Telkom are securing revenue moving forward. Unfortunately much of the board have fallen out of favour with investors and that trust has been dwindling...
