Webcam Surveillance at home

Hi Guys,

Is there a DIY/Instructions to setup some video surveillance that I can access using my mobile phone or pc while away from home?

My current hardware/internet setup:

  • A few laptops with webcams.
  • A standalone webcam which I can place outside or near a window to view outside.
  • A wireless ADSL router/modem
  • A 384kbps ADSL telkom line
  • Samsung Galaxy S phone unrooted
  • Blackberry 9700

Any help/links appreciated. On google now.:D
 
If you just want to be able to see what is going on while you are away then one way is to leave a laptop with Skype running. This should be set up to answer incoming calls automatically. Then all you need to do is to call home.
