's up?

I'm about to buy a JBL SoundSticks II speaker set...if you deal in hardware and sell them, and can beat the quoted price to me you have a sale...

Anyone? :]

Cheers, N.

Well, I found 'em on DP for 1569 (memory fails me atm), but then I saw that they offered a price match policy, so I found another local supplier with them for 1114 [!] but they unfortunately have delivery problems, so I went back to DP.

They said that because I want to use a 100 voucher that I have, that they will not price match me - wtF?

So, now I can get them matched at 1404, w/out my voucher.

I'll waste my voucher on something else...

They cannot offer me a price any lower because their supplier cannot match the local price... :/

What's interesting though is that I got 2 emails back wrt my price match query...the one guy said 1404 initially, and then someone else told me 1505...guess who I'm going with? ;)

They can sort out their different pricing internally, not my problem.

N.

Just thought I'd check...like I aid, I saw them online locally for 1100-odd, but shipping was a problem.

...never a bad idea just to check. :]

On a related note, I'm told the SS are USB speakers...do I need a s/card with a USB port, or do they simply plug into my std. USB ports?

...damn, been checking out prices for PC bits on DP...I'm going to have to cinrease my new PC budget...

UPDATE: I got 3 replies from DP wrt my price match...all from different people...do they know who does what there? c.o.m.m.u.n.i.c.a.t.i.o.n.

Really?...because to me it sounds like no-one knows wtF's potting with everyone else that side... :)

The first guy has a sale on his hands tomorrow.
