Where can I get a Noctua NH-U9B SE 2 cooler from locally / who ships internationally?

Hey guys.

Urgently looking for a Noctua NH-U9B SE 2 cooler. Take2 sell them via their Amazon import service but the price is pretty bad. It seems as though it'd be cheaper to go via Amazon but for some reason they don't ship this product to SA, bastards.

Noctua have only one dealer listed for SA but they don't carry this fan :(

Any suggestions? I know there are other hardware sites in the US that ship here but I don't remember which ones, or which ones were reliable.

Any ideas?
 
No locally available alternatives? Haven't seen the cooler myself so not sure if there's a specific purpose in mind.

? Not that I can see, I suppose I could use Wantitall but their prices are absolute rubbish. I want this cooler specifically as I know it will fit my i7 2600k rig.. got a tiny mATX case and this one will fit and one of the best coolers around.
 
Have you tried the coolermaster products.This one looks quite good. Coolermaster Hyper 612S .
www.pcint.co.za have this one in stock. They also have the V8 from coolermaster.

Have you tried www.amazon.co.uk. Have bought from UK before and works very well.
In the Uk you can get it for £47.59
Prophecy.co.za also have a huge range of CPU Coolers.

Yeah I'm fully aware of their products, but I specifically want this one though.

Just checked, Wantitall want bloody R1200 for the Noctua.. which costs $60 USD.. are these people smoking crack?

Takealot's price isn't that bad. Getting it shipped here would be at least $90 + tax, so ~R800, and they are selling it for R900.

The issue with Takealot is more time and reliability.

What about the NH-C14, wouldn't it also fit in your small case, or are there also RAM clearance issues?
 
Yeah, Takealot I don't mind, I order a lot from them, very little problems there. The weird thing is, the other day I saw the Noctua there, then it says the product is not found.. half the stuff in the USA section is missing randomly.

That's the case I have, once the PSU is in (sideways over the gfx card slot area) there's not too much room for big coolers.. altho I read someone got a Megahalem HSF in just fine. I love my little monster case too much to change that :P

I meant coolers. I see you need LP. Nothing from Cooler Master or Thermalright sufficient?

That's Plan B, I'm going on stuff I've read, the Noctuas perform very well and I've had ppl confirm the one I want fits my case/setup perfectly and cools like a mofo.

Looks like an excellent cooler and very short. If you want the best I guess it's going to cost...

CM Hyper TX3 might be the easiest and cheapest option locally. Also these which you've probably seen, similar to the other Noctua cooler posted.

Yeah I don't mind paying R800 with Takealot, Noctuas fans - from all I've read, last for AGES and I can still use the cooler on my next build or 'retire' it to my server one day, if it lasts for a long time and does the job then it's a good investment IMO.

Took the plunge, ordered the Noctua.. will try remember to post my results once I get it.. in 3-4 weeks :P
 
Got my Noctua, running very very nicely. Must say this thing is damn well made, everything is well crafted, right fitting and really thought out. Got my 2600k up at 4.4ghz stable, idle temps at 39-43 or so, burn in tests up to 68-70 max but I could possibly lower that by reducing my CPU core voltage. My case is quite small and the front fans are weak, but overall it's within the thermal limit.

Runs fast, and quiet ;)
 
Reminder when posting temps - give us your ambient temps, otherwise the numbers are pretty pointless
A CPU running at 55°C with 54°C ambients is far more impressive than max CPU temps of 30°C with 10°C ambients

Yeah, I know - I just dunno what the ambient temp here is, maybe 23 or so?
 
For ambients I use my HDD temps via Hardware Monitor. Most new drives (that I have had anyway) have an airflow temp, and assembly temp. Yes, its probably a bit off, but it'll be consistently off at least, so its a good point to figure out if changes in your setup have had a good/bad result.

Anyhoo, 47°C delta sounds about right for that cooler, looks good :)

Using http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

I get 34 as my airflow. That might be the ambient case temp, but I'm not so sure its terribly useful as a 'base' temp since my drives are RIGHT in front of the case, just behind the intake fans. My guess is its really the temp of the drive's housing. Which obviously will be influenced by the drive's inner workings/outside temps etc;

In any case, it's nice to have 4.4ghz and be in the safe zone ;-)
