I have 3 x 2gb Transcend ddr3 1.5v cl9 RAM in it.The bios only picks up 4gb.Tested the ram individually and they are all fine. What can be the problem?

chance voltage to 1.65v see if it works, otherwise cpu might me damaged, saw guys with missing pins only pick up 4gb etc

kelevra:
Perhaps try the RAM in the other coloured RAM slots.

You can also try the XMP profile for that memory and see if that doesn't fix things if running it in the other slots didn't change anything.

Could it not be that particular dimm socket that is wonky? You might need to give the RAM a little jiggle to get the pins to make proper contact..

Saw that 1 pin on mobo where CPU makes contact was bent. After a lot of cursing and using a needle,I bent the pin so it aligned with the other rows and it worked. Now picking up 6136MB in stead of 4088MB.HOORAY!

Well done for spotting and fixing it!

I once had to bend back/straighten like 100 CPU pins on my friend's AMD 4200+ CPU, which wasn't fun either, because the pins was bent in the middle and not at the bottom. I had to use a tweezer and a magnifying glass. My dad actually broke off one of the pins and the CPU still worked after that :D
