What MB is the best:
I want to buy a AMD 2x 3800+ cpu but I don't want to buy a new graphics card. Which board will you recommend that will perform well with AGP but also support the dual core AMD cpu's?

K8N Neo 2 Platinum.

MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum.

I have 2 in the office and one in the cupboard as a spare.
Using the 939 AMD 3200 Venice Core, mine is running at 10x265 FSB, rock solid. Actually using 4xHT.
It can do more, but I like it at 2650MHz. Seems the sweet spot, with the 4HT?
You can also run the Ram at 1T as opposed to the very popular Asus A8N SLI set-up, which can only successfully run high FSB settings at 2T.

If you are interested a friend and I have proven Bios Settings that will squeeze every little bit of speed out of this very overclockable board.
PM me about the settings. Ask Person for the board. Hehe. :)

Just the board I was going to suggest. One of the best I ever owned. Ran FX55 at 3.15 GHz under sub zero cooling at 287x11 with memory 1:1 at 3-3-3 timings. Also made it through SuperPI a couple of times at 310x10 at 3-4-4 timings. Ah the good old days :D

Word of warning, PIC-e to AGP, the MB manufacturers give warning that *Paraphrase* Using an AGP card will shorten the life span of your card! This is because of the different voltages and as much as they tested there is still great risk.

There's only one 939 board with truely independent PCI-E and AGP and that's the ASRock 939-SATA2 board. The PCI-Express bus runs off the ULI M1695 chip and the AGP off the ULI M1567 chip. The Biostar has a list of compatible AGP graphics on their website.

i have a spare asus board with agp if you are interested, cause i upgraded to pci-e
