Interesting that Sentech is focusing their money and efforts on two areas:
- More coverage. Fair enough, more coverage means more possible clients.
- Marketing. Yes, maybe some people don't know about the product.
BUT:
As usual though Sentech is missing the critical ingredient needed to make MyWireless more than a mediocre alternative to Telkom - improve the actual product!!
If I were them, I'd be looking at dropping chunks of that government-bummed cash into upgrading international bandwidth and massively improving their national network links - with the goal of providing higher caps and 2Mb/s packages ahead of the HSPDA crowd.
Unless Sentech increase bandwidth, they will be left behind and continue to suffer the ongoing problems of insufficient capacity.
Marketing will only get you so far in product take-up, and as soon as people realise they've bought a lemon, your marketing will never get them back.
Coverage is worthless without the right product offering and a decent network to support it.
