Telkom drops 3% after MP’s ‘sell’ comment

THE share price of fixed-line phone operator Telkom fell more than 3% yesterday after an MP was quoted as saying government would consider selling its 37,7% stake in the group.

Well, c'mon... put your money where your mouth is for a change!

Business Report quoted MP Mpetjane Lekgoro, chairman of the parliamentary committee on communications, as saying SA could sell its Telkom stake if it made good business sense and would not inflate tariffs or impede the roll-out of communications to the poor.

Too late!

This MP knows something the investors dont know ?
