Router purchased August 2011, used with Huawei 1820E. Worked well, apart from poor CellC signal, which has nothing to do with router. Noticed over week-end that top of router was hot, but it is summer and indoor temp about 5 deg warmer than winter. Yesterday, noticed "Network cable is unplugged" message. All lights on router out, big brown mark towards left rear of lid and where aerial is attached, plastic all soft.

However, modem still ok. Took router back to supplier (might take 3-4 weeks as has to go back to Jhb)

Any recommendations about a better one? Is the MR 3420 any better? I see the 3420 has 2 aerials, will this give better indoor coverage as 3220 pretty poky?

Ive worked on the TP-Link, edimax and planet 3G routers. I prefer the Planet of all of them.
