But I thought Bill gave all his money to a health trust (set up by him) - nevertheless he was supposed to have 'donated' it - so how come he's still got so much money?? :confused:
 
Amazing to note that Bill Gates gives away more money every year than Mark Shuttleworth is worth! :eek:

Unbelievable! And to think it's poor sods like us who are giving them the money, mostly for luxuries we can't afford, and don't need! Oh, wow! What an upside-down world we live in!

the oppenheimers are. they were on the forbes list of richest people last year when i checked. i think it was one point something billion if i can remember

Are the oppenheimers still in the country? I thought they moved their whole operation overseas (after stripping all the mineral assests of the west coast?!)

seeing that Gates' money is burning holes in his pockets and he wants to donate all of it, why doesnt he just sponsor the whole EASSy cable project, and make it a basic commodity that any african country has access to for free? he would single handedly solve all of africa's communications problems just like that. we all know we need his money more than he does
 
Bill could fund a few mars probes all of his own - but think the cable idea is better! :D
