Any recommendations for decent curry and fish restaurants Durban?

Popping down to durbs for a quick visit this weekend, are there any recommendations for decent curry and fish restaurants in the area?
Really hoping for some great Durban curry, can it be anywhere or are some just better than others, google brings up various options, but locals should know better!!
 
Orientals in the Workshop (near the ICC).
Their bunny's are great and curry's are good too.

If you want fish, there's tons of great places along the Umhlanga coast line. I usually head over to Lord Prawn for dinner. Seafood there is amazing - Kingklip Thermidor FTW!

Def agree with the Goundens aspect.. though its not a "restuarant" per se....

As for Fish... well take your pick... Mozambique, Razzmatazz, Buds on the Bay, etc etc... there are loads in Durban.

If you want to combine fish and curry then I would suggest an evening at Razzmatazz to be honest... its a GREAT location, and their prawn curry is spectacular.
 
If it's fish curry you want, then it's gotta be Brittania Hotel or SeaBelle in La Mercy.

Just curry - Brittania Hotel/Hollywood Bets (eat there, don't take away)/Goundens/Panaji.

Yeah, people should not go there with high expectations wrt "looks". It's in a light industrial/business area, the interior & decor is low quality and it might creep you out a bit but fsck me is the curry good!
 
Hell I'm in the mood for a Goundens bunny now! These food threads are not good to me.
