I'm wondering if someone here can help me:

After I flashed the ICS ROM, my IMEI got reset to the generic 004999010640000 one.

I've already tried a bunch of things, amongst deleting/restoring the nv_data.bin files without success.

Here's my last post on xda-developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21110335&postcount=415

Is there perhaps a place that I can take the phone to, to get it fixed?
One of my problems is that the phone was supplied directly by Samsung, before it was officially launched in SA, so I guess I can't just take it to a service provider like Vodacom/MTN, because I don't have it on contract?

Thanks in advance!

Had the same issue with my Samsung galaxy i9000 after flashing to latest miui US version. I was unable to make or receive calls as a result however strangely enough my data worked fine.

Flashed Samsung froyo stock firmware via Odin and all was back to normal. Give that a try and see if that helps. Worked for me.

Goodluck!

It's probably just the firmware reporting a default imei, I doubt its that easy to change it on the actual device.

I had exactly this above mentioned experience. Just flash back to the original or previous rom that you had.

Thanks for all the replies.

I've already flashed it back to older versions and nothing changed.

I think I'll have to take it in.
