Recently read the article "Ubuntu Everywhere". Do you think Ubuntu would stand a change to compete in the mobile market?
I see only a few mayor companies controlling the market in a couple of years, Microsoft - Nokia, Motorola - Android , Blackberry and Apple.
What makes Apple and Iphones so successful is the fact that they control the hardware and software aspect. Is this why we see Nokia and Microsoft in partnership? Motorola and Android can be expected to grow tremendously.
For Ubuntu to survive in the competitive market, would they have to partner or merge with another mobile manufacturer?
I see the future as walking down the street and my phone or glasses tells me whom the person in front of me is, via its public social network connections. No phone company have really distributed this concept to the customers that I am aware off. Is this due to security/privacy reasons?
What is the use of a public profile then, can already view a picture and a name. Is this where a mobile system like ubuntu will be able to elaborate on?
