View Full Version : So I was accidentally listening to The Cure...
... and I suddenly began wondering (after hearing Friday I'm In Love again): what if Robert Smith accidentally swallowed a bottle of uppers and an autotune machine in the early 90's? Could he have composed Rebecca Black's hit single? Did she steal it from him?
Thoughts?

I see what you're getting at here. Of course he'd also have to lose his musical gift along the way, and his singing voice. And the artistry of the other Cure musicians. So yeah it could happen.

+1 You would have a whole lot of hurt coming your way! :D
Was standing in the beach parking lot last week and this one guy was playing his music in the car and for some odd reason I could not remember the band name. I asked the guy 'what's that band called again' and he chuckled and said 'the cure but I could see your feet and legs start moving' :D

I really love playing Close to Me and So Human back to back - both are remarkable songs from very talented artists. I remember the first time I heard So Human it was like, what the hell this sounds like The Cure but its Lady Sovereign singing - loved it.
