Samsung Galaxy S2 Screen Scratched/Cracked

Hi guys,

I bought my Galaxy S2 on contract last week Wednesday (4 Jan) and now I've noticed that the TWlauncher has crashed quite a few times already and this morning I noticed a scratch/crack. It looks like a scratch when the screen is switched off but when you turn it on you can see the distortion made by the scratch/crack (sorry if this description is a little vague).

What I wanted to know is that if I take it back to the MTN store (Illovo, Sandton) that I bought it from, will they repair it for free and if not roughly how much will it cost?

BTW, there's also a Samsung booth in this store, should I maybe take it to them first and see what they can do?

You might just be out of luck....if you return it within 7 days (or is it two weeks?), you get a brand new phone.

After that, they'll send it in for repairs. HURRY!!!!
 
I think I am out of luck, it's a 7 day exchange policy.......does anyone approximately how it'll cost?

Well seeing that we just had holidays tell em you only got back now but the problem was there from the start, you just could not return it :)

Who knows it might work....
 
A friend of mine dropped his S2 and cracked the screen as well so I would be interested to know how much they quote you to repair it.

I asked a friend of mine and he cracked his N8 screen, he paid approx. R800, so you can sort of work out the price of an S2's repair
