Yesterday morning on Talk Radio 702, Chris Smith, one of The Naked Scientists, explained that while the radiation emitted by cellphones lies outside the ionising range, and therefore likely does not alter DNA structure to cause cancer, the microwave radiation emitted by the average cellphone is enough to raise the temperature inside your brain by about 1 degree Celcius, although he said that this was not clinically significant.
From now on I think I will use the corded earphones which came with my cellphone when engaging in calls.
