How do I get rid of Babylon?

Hi,

I downloaded some software(s) from cnet.com. CNET has its own installer for programs. I was clicking next, next, next, then when I use my browser (Firefox), Babylon is all of the sudden installed as my default search.

How to I get rid of this? I really hate Babylon.
 
Tried looking in Firefox's addons or in your Control Panel > Programs and Features list to see if it can just be uninstalled?
 
I checked in my Firefox Add ons and it does not show Babylon.

I also checked in my list of Installed programs and it is not there.
 
No. Don't reinstall firefox.

In the address bar, type about:config, click next, then locate browser.search.defaultenginename, and make it look like this:

Status: Default
Type: string
Value: Google

Done :)
 
I've had this issue before. You need to get into the Firefox directory and delete "prefs.js". Google it and you will see the results that will show you what to do.
It will remove your preferences, so keep that in mind.
