HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray

Supporters of HD DVD format pushed by Toshiba and NEC are waging a fierce battle against a rival Blu-ray format, led by Matsu****a and Sony, with the two sides vying to set the common standard in the lucrative market.

The Blu-ray disc is expected to have a greater storage capacity than the HD DVD but also to be more expensive to make, at least in the short-term.

I was not aware of the dual format LG option...I agree that this will be the one to get.

Thats what I like and love about this forum. The diversity, it saves me hours of research as so many participants do so too and post here.

I was doing research on good HT sound quality formats when I ran across these a few days ago Now multi channel sound formats 8+ channel will become reality (due to disk space available) the next few years will see 8.1 surround with overhead and more surrounds channels coming. Scary!
