The Nokia Lumia 800 launches (launched?) 1st Feb!

First thought they made a mistake, since the official launch date is 7 Feb. This is @ Incredible Connection (http://www.incredibleblog.co.za/digital-lifestyle/cellular/the-nokia-lumia-800-launches-1st-feb/), wonder if they really got stock and if it's unlocked/without package :confused:

Vodacom has exclusivity for 6 weeks. That means that if you start counting from the 7th of February, which is when the Lumia 800 will be widely available through Vodacom, the other service providers should have the Lumia 800 by the end of March.

Cool, thanks. I hope Vodacom come out with some nice contracts. Been holding out upgrading my N97, waiting for this one and don't think the N97 is going to hold out much longer.

PS. If Vodacom have exclusivity, then the deal with Incredible Connection seems a bit odd:wtf:

Incredible updated the blog entry (http://www.incredibleblog.co.za/digital-lifestyle/cellular/the-nokia-lumia-800-launches-1st-feb/#comment-427662674) showing the Vodacom contract price. Interestingly enough you can buy it on prepaid for R5 999.95.

PS And the contract price is R249 pm compared to R279 pm at Vodaworld last week.

The response to the launch deal at Vodaworld was pathetic.
I doubt that they even got close to the first 200 customer amount that qualified for the Xbox deal.

not really surprising though - you have to be desperate to get any phone to want to get it at Vodaworld :sick:

Will have to wait and see. The 910 will probably be the 900 without the 4G. According to rumors.
