London – Fabio Capello's decision to publicly challenge the firing of England captain John Terry may have opened himself up to disciplinary action.

Capello says he “absolutely” did not agree with FA chairman David Bernstein's to dump Terry on Friday due to his pending trial for racial abuse.

Former FA executive director David Davies said: “(The coach’s criticism) is being taken very seriously by the FA because it may be that Fabio Capello has breached his contract.”

Davies, who left the FA in 2006, questioned Capello's motive for speaking out against his employers four months before the European Championship.

Davies told the BBC: “You have to suspect he wants to prevent John Terry retiring as a player before Euro 2012.”

He added, though, that there were wider issues. – Sapa-AP

Seems like Capello will be heading for an early exit......

He probably misses the ladies in Italy.

good for him. Somebody needs to speak up against the PC insanity of the moron bureaucrats at the FA

Capello is just a pawn.

His rigid style has brought England fsckall.

It doesn't matter what coach England gets. They are a useless effing bunch of players. They whip these pathetic teams in the EPL but when they have to play proper international opposition, they can't.

Agreed.

Much of an ego problem, always seems as if the players give more for their club than their queen.

I actually agree with the FA on this one.

Terry as good a player and captain as he is, has brought to much bad publicity on the english team . yes I know they bring on bad publicity of their own with their crap playing but he just brings extra by banging team mates wives and all that. England have enough guys who can lead the team

Nothing was proven re: banging Bridge's gf. Most of the stories post that scenario have been shown to be completely made up ( classic NotW rubbish).

Anyway, good on Cappello for having grown pair.

Nothing was proven :wtf: nothing needed to be proven except to Wayne Bridge and the fact of the way he reacted with Terry begs me to believe that it was true. Also there is just to many stories around this guy for at least one of them not to be true
Besides whether he is guilty or not the FA should bound on the side of caution. If he is found to be not guilty then give him the captaincy back. No harm no foul.

P.S Actually in my opinion with the way he is playing he shouldn't be in the England squad at all.

First of all, the way he is playing? So tell me, who is more deserving of a first team spot in England's line-up?

Second, Bridge reacted the way he did, because of the allegations put forth, not because anything was proven. Hell, his (ex)girlfriend said over and over again that nothing happened, but somehow all that was written was how she gave the NotW an exclusive interview... I actually followed what happened after the whole fiasco had died down (and wasn't sensational anymore) and that's when most of the facts came out.

Third: Reinstate his captaincy? What, so not the FA decides who is captain? What would that mean to the person who needs to captain the team in the meantime? No harm, no foul? Are you for real?

Anyway, good on Cappello for having grown pair.

Capello's won so many trophies he probably doesn't even remember where half of them are. He's managed at Real Madrid and didn't give as much as a single toss what the board & fans felt about him, so much so that they sacked him after he won the League.

He's probably got a bigger pair of brass swingers than most of us can even dream of.

If England couldn't win anything under him, it's almost certainly not a bad reflection on him rather an indication of just what a big waste of time the English national team is.

Yes I am for real.

there is no harm in changing captaincy for a short period of time. It has been done before and it will be done again. If Ferdinand,Lampard,Gerrard or even Hart play they can captain the team. they have captained England before and can do it again. you make it sound like it is a sin to captain the England team for a short period of time.

I like Terry as a player, I really do.. but I do not think that he is in the best frame of mind to lead England into the Euro 2012 and I would like to see some other young defenders playing in the next couple of fixtures before the Euro starts.

Yes yes Alan, we all know you're pro-racism, stop hitting us over the head with it.

Weird. I thought he had a chance to defend himself at the hearing?
Funniest **** ever...

Daftness:
Report racial abuse ---> player admits to using the word and gets banned---> you are now in the wrong for reporting ---> rather than apologizing, club send out snark statements by wearing stupid T-shirts - fans are with the club and believe you should never report racial abuse - boo the n!gger and all his brothers:wtf:

Black highlighted bit, wtf? Since when do LFC fans believe you should never report racial abuse?

Red part, I think you are describing Chelsea fans there.

Never knew the England national team plays in the EPL :erm:

He did, but he was guilty in the media's eyes before the FA even started the hearings etc.

I don't think you're remembering right. Before he was charged by the FA the majority of the media were undecided as they kept saying (rightfully) there was no evidence as the interviews hadn't been released. Once the report came out, Suarez (and LFC/Dalglish) was correctly lambasted in the press.

Black highlighted bit, wtf? Since when do LFC fans believe you should never report racial abuse?

Why were they booing Evra then? And not to mention, most of them still believe that Evra has previous bogus complaints about being racially abused, courtesy Dalglish and the LFC journalists.

No, I just think it's idiotic for the captaincy, something symbolic, to be stripped. **** that, either ban him from the team until the trial is over or leave things as is. The whole thing was handled farcically.
