Time to put our footballing differences aside and remember those Man Utd players/staff/management that lost their lives that day.

Watched the film "United" a few weeks/months back. Wow, just wow. RIP Busby babes.

Good to know that footballers' lives take precedent over other millions of folks that die daily and have died !!!!!!!

Who said it takes precedence over other peoples lives. Its the anniversary and we pay tribute to them as we will pay tribute to the people who lost their lives in the 911 disaster, and as we have youth day here in South Africa for the youth who lost their lives in the riots...
 
The way I look at it, it's not just the people who died, but the people who survived and used that tragedy to build something amazing. Busby was devastated after the crash, Charlton couldn't and then wouldn't play yet they combined to build to win a major European trophy ten years later. It's testament to humankind's ability to transcend tragedy and turn it into triumph.

I mean, I don't like United or Ferguson - but respect where it's due.

EDIT: It only happened like that because the FA (who have a history of stupid and idiotic decisions) didn't allow them to move games due to European commitments. Chelsea buckled under the pressure in 1956 and so did the teams after them. United didn't. It's no surprise that they are where they are because of the courage of a few.

As a Liverpool supporter I would've expected you to be a little more compassionate, considering Hillsborough and what our club has been through with regard to that.

Oh well, some people just don't get it.
