Broadband network is envy of the west

Everything moves at light speed compared to Africa.

I think the African countries are having an unspoken competition of who can do the least the best.

Then again SA's broadband environment must be the envy of every other network operator in the world. After all where else could they get away with a fraction of what the players here do - all with the blessing and/or blind-eye politics of the government.

But hey - Ivy's making an announcement sometime soon and Telkom just offered some journalists up to r40k in rebates so things are looking rosy here again :rolleyes:

(PS - I'm feeling really frikkin cynical today if you havent noticed - my apologies)

More info? I'm in Pretoria as well, resident in the Silverton x5 area, and would love to know whether it will be feasible for me to join this club... :D

Leadership, leadership, leadership

Usually countries (or cities, municipalities, states, etc.) that are very progressive in these kinds of insightful initiatives have top-notch leaders who are thinking about the public good.

This says it all:
