TomTom enters insurance market

I don't have a GPS but I'm sorry if I'm going to be the product you're going to have to pay me to drive around with your device, not the other way around.

Sounds like newfag mischief to me.

Your are not the product, the product is the insurance you pay for which you can decrease if you put this into your car and the results say that you are a good driver.

Instead of paying x amount insurance you pay only x-discount, so you might see it as they are paying you an amount equal to the discount for driving with the gps.

Garmin must come to the party and offer Garmin users these types of software updates.
Lower insurance costs are always a +

This sounds suspiciously like Discovery Insurance, and UTurn....

And the rules for "good"/"bad" driving are just ridiculous...

Like driving around at night is "bad".. driving in centre areas is "bad".. etc etc....

Basically you'll probably see a discount for the first few months, then your insurance would go back to what you were paying originally ANYWAY.
